Coincidences seem a quite regular occurence at Me&Yu (and life in general), I was browsing BOOOOOOM today and came across this post on cartoon characters in art. Yesterday I finished designing a mini collection entitled Apocalypse, I'm not gonna say exactly what it's about but there's some similar themes being explored, enjoy these pictures and I'll be posting more about our new mini collection next week

Making Some T-Shirts

Today I've been busy in the studio cutting out and printing some handmade t-shirts  - here's a few pics

New Homepage

So, aside from making lots of new things, photographing them and getting them all uploaded onto the website, Gordon has also found the time to play about with our homepage. 

Aside from the online shop that you know and love, there's heaps more stuff on our website and the new layout means we can profile different things - ever wanted to know a bit more about us, see our old photoshoots, see whats new or sign up to our mailing list than its easier than ever to find!

It also means we have space to put some of the things we've always wanted to do - coming soon "view from the shop" A shopkeepers view of Manchester's street style - come down and get your picture taken if you want to be seen!

Cut Copy

We've probably said it before but we discovered Cut Copy purely by chance whilst living in Australia - all because the cover of their first single looked interesting - I guess this doesn't happen so much anymore with downloads. Anyway, their new album is out now, I'm currently on my first listen in the shop - but expect to hear it pretty much constantly over the next few days/weeks - if you want to check it out before you buy it call in!!!!.
They've also released a mini documentary about the making of the album/touring, I'm always fascinated by such films. I remember reading an interview with someone (can't remember who) who said that new technology has killed the mystique of the band, everybody records and shares all the aspects of making music/being creative that were hidden before. But I think it allows you more connection with a band, and means you feel a bigger part of what they do - anyway watch the docu (click on the you tube icon to see the other 3 parts)

These are the start of a mini collection, hand-drawn by Angie. Mainly t-shirt prints but the 3 hares will be a fabric print. There's a couple more designs to go in the range - all with the woodland creature theme.

Handmade & Handprinted Headscarves

Our handmade headscarves were very popular last year, so for the new year we've decided to add to the range with some HANDMADE & HANDPRINTED square headscarves. The first batch are printed with our papercut bird design in pink on purple fabric, they are in our afflecks store now at £6  - don't be vintage be original!!!!
