Mushroom Hat

We don't like to waste fabric, especially fabric that we have lovingly handprinted.  So once we'd cut out a fresh batch of handmade & handprinted mushroom sweatshirts we were left with a big pile of spare fabric...and this is what we did with it!!!!!!!

buy it here!!!!! (or at least like it!!)

New Website

We've got a new website (well it's the same it just looks abit different). I've spent the last few weeks designing and setting up our new look website, it didn't take all that time it's just I have to fit it in between everything else I have to do (printing/making/shop/accounts etc). Those of you that know all about Me&Yu will be aware that we like to do EVERYTHING ourselves, which is good but time consuming!!!! So for the past few weeks I've been learning how to use flash, and trying to work out how my idea for the website can be modified to fit in with the small amount of web knowledge I have. So my initial idea was to have a scrolling live feed across the top of the screen that would display everything that is happening at Me&Yu via facebook/twitter/tumblr/blogger etc unfortunately I couldnt work out how to do this (or if it is possible??) so I have distilled the idea slightly and will try and slowly work out if it can be done.

We will also be adding more content to the website, so the images at the bottom of the page link to posts about whats happening on a weekly basis - photoshoots, in the studio, videos etc as well as stuff we think you will like - we will be adding more each day/week - but please be patient as there's only 2 of us!!! and we normally end up updating the site in the evenings.
Check out the new look site here

New design online now!!

This design is hand-drawn by Angie and handprinted in black on an overdyed yellow t-shirt to get a "dirty mustard" textured colour. This unisex heavyweight t-shirt features a cut & finish neckline for a relaxed fit.

Containing the text "All That I'm Certain of is the Beauty of The Soul" hidden in the roots of a magical tree. Inspired by the myth and legend of the "Tree of Life" and hidden within the branches are lots of friendly creatures.

Handmade mushroom sweatshirt online now!!!

The future vision of Me&Yu is for our main products to be  handmade by us in the UK, whilst still retaining the affordable pricing we have. This is the first step in that vision with these handmade and handprinted sweatshirts created by us in our Manchester factory using UK produced loopback jersey.  I think you would find it very hard to find a UK produced sweatshirt retailing at a  lower price than these.

This cool mushroom and eye illustration has been repeat printed over the fabric, which has then been cut out and made into these beautiful sweatshirts. The position of the prints will vary with each garment.

It's strange that to some people a mushroom with eyes is weird - to us it's just something we draw!!!!!

Website changes....bear with us!

We've got a few technology issues - but it's a good thing - we've got an upgrade on the sofware we use for our web shop so we've got some cramming till we can get the best results.

In short, without boring you with IT we've got some new facilities on our Web Shop at www.meandyu.com but we'd like it to look a bit better with clearer photographs and decriptions so it might take us a couple of days to get the results we want.

New features include better sharing of products between your friends, a review facility and ability to ask us questions much more easily. In the meantime you can still CHECKOUT AS NORMAL and buy lots of lovely things, but if you have any problems or would like to offer some feedback / suggestions please email gordon@meandyu.com

Much love from the MeandyUniverse x Angie & Gordon

New Homepage

So, aside from making lots of new things, photographing them and getting them all uploaded onto the website, Gordon has also found the time to play about with our homepage.

Aside from the online shop that you know and love, there's heaps more stuff on our website and the new layout means we can profile different things - ever wanted to know a bit more about us, see our old photoshoots, see whats new or sign up to our mailing list than its easier than ever to find!

It also means we have space to put some of the things we've always wanted to do - coming soon "view from the shop" A shopkeepers view of Manchester's street style - come down and get your picture taken if you want to be seen!
